Have I Told You Lately How Much I Love VENDIO

Well I do.  I have been a subscriber for over 10 years when back in the day, listings and photo uploads were difficult for this eBay seller.

Vendio is an eBay 3rd party provider for listing and post sale chores.  Plus lots of other tools, including image hosting, watermarking, customer follow up, inventory tracking and oh so much more.

A few of my most favorites are:-

Listing Form & Template - Once the template is created, new listings only require info specific to that item.

Scrolling Gallery - Has individual listings scrolling across the top of my listings to show all the varied items we sell.

Image Hosting - After I edit photos in Picassa, I upload to Vendio in just a few clicks.  No fuss, no muss!!

Watermarking - Each photo has my info placed where I choose.

Customer List - Can be sorted in many ways.  I like sorting by category so I can target certain customers for sales and notices.

Vendio Store - Free with subscription.  With just a few clicks new listings can be added to the Vendio store too.

Submits listings to the Search Engines

Customer Support - Several ways to contact them and they reply immediately or will call back shortly.  They are fantastic.

and for those who need it Product Sourcing where you can search by country.

Some Animal Shows at Colorado State Fair, 2010

Each year every state fair has different attractions for free.  Many times they include animals.

Right behind our Personalized Rice Necklace Booth was Bixby's Rainforest Animals.  They would take the Lemur for a ride 2 x a day on the golf cart around the grounds.

And right across from us, was Jeff, The Swampmaster who wrestled an 8 foot alligator.

These free shows are very entertaining and move to a different fair each year.

As a side note - we were next to a  H U G E alligator at the Florida State Fair "Big Al".  Pretty amusing to wonder what is store for us next year.  LOL

Making Sweet Mixed Pickles Fall 2010

This is a product we can't buy in the store, so I figured I had to make them myself.  They are cucumbers; cauliflower; small, cocktail onions; garlic and green & yellow bell peppers with pickling spices.

Boil for a few seconds so peeling comes off easier.
Cucumbers are cut with a decorative cutter in smallish bite size pieces.
I blanched the veggies for less than 1 minute ( but it is not necessary).

Very easy to make.  They need a water bath for at least 30 minutes, depending on altitude.

 Love them with a sandwich!!!!!!!

The Big Texan Steak Ranch, Amarillo, Texas

Can you believe the size of this steak???

Remember the Burma Shave signs along the highway? Well, as you approach Amarillo, Texas there are many signs for The Big Texan and they sorta reminded me of those signs of years gone by.

The Big Texan Steak Ranch is a steak house famous for the 72 oz. Steak contest. If anyone can eat it in 1 hour it is free.

When we 1st stayed in Amarillo, a year ago, we thought HA! too cliché or hype for us. But then when we got our motel key (no RV yet) there was an ad on it that said they had free limo service. So we called and they picked us up in a white stretch limo that had the long horns on the front with a very friendly driver. OMG too funny. So on our way home from FL this year, they picked us up at the RV park. Very kewl!!

The inside has all sorts of stuffed animal heads and is very western, rustic.

When we visited the restaurant again this time we requested the exact same table as the 1st time right next to the platform where the contestants sit to eat the huge steak. Did you notice the garbage pails next to the table? Well, if they have to use them they are disqualified. Lovely thought!!!

The nice thing about having the limo driver doing the driving is that we could have a drink and not worry about driving ourselves. Gene had the beer sampler. It was 4 small glasses of his choice from over 12 different kinds of beer.

In order to cook the steak properly it has to be filleted, so it fills the plate even more.

This night 2 men were attempting to eat the steak, but there is a twist. Not only do they have to eat all the meat, they have to eat a salad, 2 fried shrimp, dinner roll and a drink

One of them was beginning to look like he was going to use the pail, so it was time for us to leave.
Besides all the decorations, the strolling musicians and hype, the staff is all very friendly and amazingly the food is great with huge portions. Love the gift shop too.
